...You - Poem by Ranock Saing

I’m sorry I had to leave you
There was nothing I could do
It was never one of my intentions
If you didn’t know, I was only going through mere depression
Our memories together
Are still in my heart and there it will stay forever
I came to you when I had to cry
You never hesitated to get bothered from my watery eyes
At night, we would talk on the phone
I never had the feeling that I was alone
We laughed while soliciting in the hall
It was always your name I checked to see if you called
In math, we would always pass notes
I’ve never told you this but at camp, Ben cried on the boat
In P.E. we would always run and run
At the end, we always managed to have fun
These past two years, my life has dramatically change
Life is strange
Since we have been far apart
Like my promise, you’ve never been erased from my heart
I thought of you day after day
I tried to keep in touch since you were so far away
Now I am back and wrote you a very special letter
I’m waiting and waiting but I’ve give up hope and found something else to do better
Maybe you have changed and forgotten about me
I heard about you having a baby
I didn’t want to believe at first but I’m thinking it’s true
Whatever happens, I’m always here for you…
