You - Poem by Stacey Chapin
You don't know what you do to me,
and I don't know how to make it stop.
I finally get the strength built up to let go,
then all it takes is one call from you and I slip.
I fall right back into wanting you,
and feeling like I need you.
I don't want to want you,
and I don't want to need you.
Everything was great at first,
until you told me it was all lies.
I don't understand why you lied to me,
and I don't like you pushing me away so hard.
I don't know why you do this to me,
but you really need to stop.
