You And Me - Poem by monica modi
It was an ordinary day,
When u stumbled across my way.
Our eyes met just for a second,
In a heartbeat I knew it was omened.
We were brought together by the Fates,
But I guess we weren't meant to be mates.
So what was the reason you think,
That we could never be in sync?
Can there never be an 'us' for' u n me'?
Can't we have days palmy?
Each other we've hurt in nasty ways,
But things can’t be hunky dory always!
Haven’t you heard?
“Sometimes things have to go wrong in order to go right...”
I’m sure you think it’s absurd,
But, for once can’t we forget our spite?
