You Are Really Gone - Poem by Cally A. Nixon
The world seems almost empty,
since you moved on...
I never realized the impact,
you had til you were gone.
I never really got to see you...
I knew that if I had a problem,
you would see me through.
Now I regret all the times,
that I didn't come by...
Even though with you,
time seemed to fly.
I missed out,
on making more memories...
And I can't make up that time,
because your time has ceased.
Even though you are not physically here,
I can feel your presence everywhere I go...
You are there,
with all the emotions in tow.
In my heart,
you always had a special place...
And now a yawning, dark,
hole fills that space.
Although I try to stop,
I can't because the streaks on my face are tears...
And I dearly wish,
to see you sometime over the years.
