You Should Have Known - Poem by Dutch Luongo

You should have known there is no one to call
And there still wont be any one as you fall.
No one to catch you and save you from death
Remember this as you take your last breath

You should have known people can’t be all that
Cause they have emotions of rats
They can’t be trusted they are full of greed
So you must be the only one to lead

You should have known that there is one way out
It will break you and make you scream and shout
Shoot you into the burning flames of hell
Even there your voice still rings like a bell

You should have known you will someday leave sin
And as you do you leave yourself a grin
Knowing that this world is over and done
And that finally you have simply won.
