You brought me hope, when I had none
I thought you were my destiny, I thought you were the one
And I don’t understand why we couldn’t be
You seemed so perfect, you were everything to me

You gave me love, when I had little
I opened my heart to you, it was so brittle
Each day that’s passed, I’ve shed a tear
I’m lost in love, without you here

You were my heart, you will forever be
Beautiful memories that will stay forever with me
That day is coming, and I’m scared to cry
I know I’ll be thinking of you, and once again ask why?
