Your Just A Kid - Poem by Lola Romero

your mixing reality with a lack of gravity
take a look at yourself, u think u can fathom me
take a step take a breath watch your back
words swirling like a whirlpool this shit's gone wack
finding yourself kneeling down on the ground
coughing and crying but ur tears have no sound
hoping and wishing for everything to get better
but its all just fallin apart nothing's safe here forever
you think you can turn it, burn, then relearn it like before
but baby it doesnt work that way, you gotta see life's a bore
all those punks runnin around, go ahead rob that grocery store
but dont tell me i didnt tell you it wouldnt happen like it did
just try and realize u aint a gangsta u is just a kid
