Hope In The Dark

Searching for happiness
I landed at the feet
of a mad man
laughing away
his utopian dreams
in the streets

Searching for Pleasure
I stopped at the house
of a prostitute
her five children
in the ghetto

Searching for hope
i saw a blind man
striding boldly
with his walking stick
in the dark alley.

Searching for peace
i saw a withered cottage
- an old man with wife
Reclining in his arm chair
with a sense of achievement behind.
