  • I'd like to catch him—uh—see him sometime when no one's around.
William Beaudine. The Great McGonigle (W.C. Fields), The Old Fashioned Way, response to his lady friend Cleo after she tells McGonigle that he should see her mischievous little boy (Baby LeRoy) "when no one's around," (1934). The line is indicative of Fields' attitude toward children, including his diminutive co-star; according to legend Fields slipped some gin into Baby LeRoy's orange juice when no one on the film set was looking.
