In the middle of the night.
What then befell my eyes,
Was a truly shocking sight.

If you fear the night, your valley will be dark.
If you fear monsters, your valley will crawl with them.

Not sure when I’m meant to come down,
To come back to reality.
I’ve been soaring above everything,

Trust me, if I can’t save you, I’ll stop you.
You have to be stopped, you can’t keep doing what you’re doing.
I’ll try to bring you back, I really will,
And I’m warning you now.

I look around at all of the people in my life,
And there is only one who stands out.
It’s you.
I have loved you since the moment I first saw you,

The souls of the innocent cry out to me,
They beg me to save them from their plight.
But how can I do it? All on my own?
Alone, on this dark dreary night.

Somewhere in the world, someone has died.
I don’t know these people,
But I know they’re gone,
And nothing can bring them back.

You know that our run is ending,
And that you have to go away.
Why are we dragging this out?
I know you won’t stay.

People don’t see what’s around them, because they couldn’t care less.
They get on with their lives and don’t worry about anyone else.
As long as everything goes perfectly for them, why should they notice?
That’s how I see these people.
