Rachel Hall

Biography of Rachel Hall

Born and raised in Northampton town centre, I have led a confusing life. With my parents hectic work lives i attended my school life in Coventry and Bedworth, in the midlands leaving me with little time for work and for friends, and permanently the outsider, it is from this abandonment feeling that i take the essence of both my life and my poetry. Having battled with depression in an extreme way in my early adolescence, self harm and self loathing were a big feature in my writing and working, and indeed life. Struggling with being an overachiever and someone unable to love i turned my hand to the poetic world as my only escape from the ever darkening realms of depression that bellowed to me.
Still having most of my life to live i cannot complete this biography, but simply say that my work and obsession with the darker side of art is displayed on my website www.freewebs.com/isnothingsacredanymore and it is my pride and joy in a world of desolate confusion

Are You Happy Now?
Bound and shackled,
I kneel here,
Cold and Bloody,
Humiliated, broken…
Are you happy now?
In a tiny cell,
Claustrophobic Hell,
You grind and you moan,
