Ramakrushna Sahu Quotes

  • ''Poetry does not speak out truth but keep it secret. It does not serve but inspire to explore. It is not the form but the essence, the fragrance of an unseen flower.
Poetry is born not out of mere thoughts and words but of living the reality from moment to moment. Life lived in any external medium is but a life of corpse.''

  • ''Poetry exists prior to the poet. It descends through the human mind and a poet is born. Poets come and go but poetry remains for ever. Poetry comes when the poet is absent, because poetry is not a making but a happening.''
    Poet & poetry
  • ''Poetry is a children's game played in adulthood. There is neither defeat nor victory, neither reward nor punishment in it. It is so delicate a game that one should not be tricky, clever and cunning to play foul. One must be sincere, simple and honestly playful like children while writing poetry.''
    Writing poetry
  • ''A poet is neither an individual nor a member of any group or institution. He is one among all and must be one among all not verbally but actually.''
    Poetry & life
  • ''A true poet dose not writes poetry but waits in deepest love for the poetry to be written through him.''
  • ''Art is an escape from unbearable lightness and silence of being.''
  • ''A poet like a seer must know what truth is and yet like a saint remain a child in heart.''
  • ''Creation is not a making of something out of nothing or other, but a self-projection of the creator. Creation is not a making but a becoming.''
  • ''Creativity is not limited to actions like art and literature only. It is creating life, leading it towards its perfection and freedom and an existence of unconditional bliss.''
  • ''Literature is a sacrifice of life, not for self but for others. When it becomes a self-glorification it is suicide.  ''

Nature's Call

In the sunlight of a winter morning
In the late moonlit night of summer
On the bank of a still lake
under a clean autumn sky
Standing on silent green hilltop
Enjoying snowcapped heads
Of mountains on the horizon
I feel myself blessed
As a son of the Nature

The sons of earth
Are not so ugly as they seem
Playing dirty games in darkness,
Perhaps they have not yet heard
The motherly call of Nature
To be a living part of it

Blessed are those
Whose faces resemble the sky
And the eyes resemble the sea
The heads those of hills
And ...

Read the full of Nature's Call

Many a times
We have met each other
Perhaps in the horizons of
Some other unknown worlds
Crossing the border
With hand in hand

We played so many roles on the stage
Where darkness prevailed
