Let's ban all the books and not ban guns
Let's burn them all by the tons,
And the only book that should ever be printed and read
Is the book on how to shoot someone dead.

You get drunk and/or high because the Devil told you to
And that's the same reasoning you cheat and have an affair,
You argue and you fight until you are black and blue
Because, you said the Devil told you to as a dare.

I believe that the flags should all be placed at half mast
For all the good guys who had finished last,
For the guys who denied their own hunger and thirst
By allowing someone that they cared for, to always go first.

I held her arm to help her stand
To which I believe destiny had planned,
Pity from me she then quickly did claim
She didn't have a penny to her name.

I do not like the needy or the poor
They always get free food from the store,
And for that reason I will always scream and holler
Especially when the government gives them my tax dollar.

How can you walk while continuously looking over your shoulder
How can you sleep at night, I once had told her,
Do you not have nightmares from the life that you currently live
Because, I believe that no-one ever told you that they would forgive.

Everyday is a great day to be alive
To be clean and sober and to thrive,
To wake up every morning with a smile on your face
And not wearing a hangover or drunkenness in disgrace.
