In your chest
In your mind
Why does it seem so close
...

He rises early full of life
Wanting to be close and held
To have his bottle
His innocence on full display for me
...

The gifts you have given me I just waste away
You show me your light and I just look away
You protect me from falling although I stand at the edge
You scream “I am over here! Come and I will give you knowledge.”
...

You hurt me Holly
I hate you so much
You opened me up
And I allowed you to touch
...

My heart beats
My lungs breathe the air
My kidneys function
All my movement is there
...

Love is not for the weak
Go looking for it if, pain is what you seek
I know from experience can’t you see
All the life is gone from me
...

God filled hands
Of a child
That perhaps
Knows more about God’s eternal grace
...

No doubt that you must have been distancing yourself for sometime
I suppose you thought I felt it too
But I was really blind
You’re wondering eyes I never caught
...

When I left you
For the last time
We embraced and you quietly whispered in my ear
“I miss you”
