Father's Will

As a boy I would hide under the Christmas tree
Hoping that Santa would come and get me
For the trouble in the house was at the point
That the pain was through every one of my joints
There was no presence for us to unwrap
And if we were to start to cry we would get a slap
The neighbors would brag about the new toys they got
And boy did I get mad and wanted to threw a big rock
But then grandma would hold me and tell me a story
