The sea is dark and silent, bleak;
The shores are veiled in morning smog,
The trees in shadow, ghost-like weak.

Water falling fast and flowing,
chasing down a monsoon stream;
Ever rushing, ever growing,
to catch a ray of stray sun beam!

I'm watching too much TV, Well,
that's what my Mama said;
She frowned and switched it off,
and sadly shook her head.

The quiet strength of every hill,
the courage of the calmest seas;
The stoic grace of flowers gone still,
the fortitude of ancient trees.

Sweet Jasmine drooped her pretty head,
There was no sign of him today;
Her gentle heart was filled with dread,
to know he was so far away...

For those who think a woman's weak
Each time a tear rolls down her cheek;
Stop right there! Be well aware,
Those little signs of her despair..

Days before Christmas, that sweet busy time,
Santa was polishing, the bells that would chime!
He had presents to pack, and toys to still make,
Mrs.Santa was baking, a big Christmas cake!

My teacher is outstanding,
She's as smart as she can be;
Though often quite demanding,
when we tend to disagree.

My friend and I, we play for hours,
I'm mesmerised when I play;
All day football and racing cars,
to Mother's utter dismay.
