Sunrise Sunset Kids!
Don’t forget the sun screen son.
And please watch out for sharks.
Remember to have lots of fun,
But be home before it’s dark!
“We are going to have great fun,
Please don’t worry about me, ”
The last thing my son said
When he left home was “Yippee! ”
“I’m leaving now for college,
I’ll see you dad real soon! ”
As he drove away from home
After emptying out his room.
Was it only yesterday when
He bounced happily upon my knee,
When he’d say how much he loved
Both his mommy dear and me?
My little girl would hear me sing, ...
A Withered Life
The seasons of Life as told
from the point of view of a tree.
Once I stood so tall and true,
Life pulsing through winds and dew.
Lightning scars would drain my sap,
But I stood firm within my gap.
Many creatures scaled my bark.
