I.... could've sworn i heard the calling
...

Time and time again i trusted you
I put my faith in you, each time you let me down
Over and over, you fed me countless lies
Over and over you made me wonder why i even tried
...

I see the man in the mirror and all that he's become
From all that he once was, and all that he has done
He's standing taller now, so determined
He seems so much clearer tha when this had begun
...

It's happening agan, can't think, can't speak, can't even take a breath
Brooding over things I knew I shouldn't do, but did them anyway
All the pain that burns in me is fueled by my regret
Suffering the consequence when price outweighs the gain
...

She closes her eyes and she asks herself
Is it all a lie? Is there nothing else?
Is this all that life can be?

afraid to let her go lest she disappear
he's holding on so tight it's bruising her
she's crying out but he doesn't seem to hear
he tries to save it but he only makes it worse

Here I am, holding on to shreds of hope
Fighting on as you cut the ropes
Take a look at all of me, see the changes

I try to play off fearlessness
Confidence and security
The world can't ever know the truth
But you've always seen through the ruse
