    Hi RoseAnn, thanks for your message.
    I'm very critical of my own poetry and it just bubbles over when I look at anothers poetry.
    Yep, I am odd, seem to see things from a different perception than the mainstreem.
    Read that you've been in a serious condition in hospital, just hope you're on the mend and now out and about and getting up peoples noses....Take care Kev

Life's Black Curtains

Lost and alone, thoughts at a distance, heart heavy
with sorrow.

Touched deeply by your life, not wanting to let go,
yet knowing I must.

In my heart forever, indelibly printed on my soul,
etched in memory's mind.

Touched frequently by the tears of your loss, trying
to hold them as tiny reminders of what we used to have.

They disappear, never become tangible so I may keep them
like a treasure of your love.

With love, I will remember you all my life, for you are
a part and parcel of what we had.

Death Shadow

When I'm gone beyond this mortal world, what type
of shadow will I leave behind?
Will it be agile and funny with a sense of humor?
Or will it be dark and serious like death itself?
Maybe it will be clearly defined, not stringent or declining.
What type of shadow will I leave imprinted in minds of
those I leave behind?
Hopefully it will bring a smile to other's lips when they
think of me on quiet reminiscent evenings.
