Hi RoseAnn, thanks for your message.
I'm very critical of my own poetry and it just bubbles over when I look at anothers poetry.
Yep, I am odd, seem to see things from a different perception than the mainstreem.
Read that you've been in a serious condition in hospital, just hope you're on the mend and now out and about and getting up peoples noses....Take care Kev

You truly are a genius in writing short yet powerful poems. I enjoyed how your poems weren't always dealing with grave topics. A short everyday life poem. I think I found a gem

you are the only poet since i joined here whom, being a female, has so lot of poems
    you are completely motivating one
    bowing my head

This poet has the gift of insight and the further gift of expressing this in words that convey all parts of the understanding she reaches.

Life's Black Curtains

Lost and alone, thoughts at a distance, heart heavy
with sorrow.

Touched deeply by your life, not wanting to let go,
yet knowing I must.

In my heart forever, indelibly printed on my soul,
etched in memory's mind.

Touched frequently by the tears of your loss, trying
to hold them as tiny reminders of what we used to have.

They disappear, never become tangible so I may keep them
like a treasure of your love.

With love, I will remember you all my life, for you are
a part and parcel of what we had.

Sharing now that you are no longer ...

Mom? Mom?

Mom? Mom?
I am calling you from the very depths of my soul - my being.
Death won't let you answer and I can feel it's icy chill come
down upon me.
Wanting to hear your voice, to see your eyes, to hear you
laugh - nothing happens and your silence continues to begin.
It is unbearable - the sadness, pain and deep emptiness pull
me down into the blackest despair.
There is no one I can turn to, as slowly, I turn over and die
