'Ignorance is not bliss. It's a state of being unconscious.'
When I was growing up, I was always asking questions and my mom seemed to find my curiosity uncomfortable. Her common comment was to say that ignorance is bliss. Knowing too much can make you unhappy. Why would you want to be unhappy? She advised me to quit asking so many questions.
Well, of all the advice most of us manage to ignore from our authority figures, I am glad I didn't take this advice.
