A love of reading since I was a child. I was encouraged to be as creative as possible and ended up going to college to study Journalism. I have yet to write and publish a book!

Sarah Mc Cabe Poems
Her hair covered her face, her cheeks flaming red. He watched her curiously wondering what was going on in her head. Her whole presence was negative, her aura miserable. He couldn’t understand how this stunning girl wanted to be invisible.
They found each other, a perfect fit like two turtle doves in flight. When he held her, her heart fluttered with anticipation ever so slight. Her full red lips where the colour of strawberries and complimented her skin an off white cream. He gazed at her afraid to break contact like he was captured in a dream.
Did I ever tell you how much you mean to me? When we’re together I’m your locket and you’re my key. You become a part of who I am. You give me hope a feeling of serenity and calm.
Why did you leave me when I needed you the most? Knowing I’d search high and low, from ocean to ocean and from coast to coast Why did you have to, have to make me cry? You didn’t even give me the chance to say a proper goodbye
Moon And Star
Sparkling high above, the star winks at the moon Glowing back, the moon plays its own, silent lullaby tune Meeting in the darkness the sky is like their own private date Not quite understanding why they meet every night, secretly imagining it has to do with fate
The Fire sizzles and licks at those who try to make contact It pulls you in with a burning passion, erotic, stealing you as it tries to distract The Air is cool, whipping life through the wind It can take you on a journey then drastically have you pinned
When two unknowns pass each other they don’t exchange a look. This loss of communication is where loneliness can get us stuck. We move unconsciously and keep on moving. It’s only in later years when we need compassion we know we’re losing.
Will you always remember forever and forever? Yes I replied forever and forever. She smiled her smile and looked out to the sea. I smiled too wondering if this is the happiest I would be.
She looked at him, tears spilling for being so naïve. He watched her, voice breaking with pleading words ‘’please don’t leave.’’ She was torn, in the middle, confused by which road to take. He knew it wasn’t easy, the decisions he asked her to make.
As time goes by we all seem to stand still. Things seem to happen for a reason usually against our will. We cannot tell which way the wind will blow. Only that with time starting to stop we begin to slow.

On one faithful day the eyes we meet are hard and sad.
But if we hold that gaze for a second longer we remember everything we ever had.
