Breathing out hope

In a world of hate,
of negativity and broken dreams,
Where words uttered are falsehoods;
nothing is as it seems,

My creativity left,
All hope has drained away.
I felt nothing but bereft
At the dawning of the day...

He was the lighter to my cigarette

He was pure love when all I had was hate

You told me when we fell in love
that you were there to stay
Then opened up the door
when I decided to walk away

The sky swathes her with its sapphire intensity,
As iridescent clouds drift randomly above.
A benevolent sun beams from behind complacently,
Her whole face is aglow with the consciousness of love.
