The Beach

The sky swathes her with its sapphire intensity,
As iridescent clouds drift randomly above.
A benevolent sun beams from behind complacently,
Her whole face is aglow with the consciousness of love.
She unfolds her towel on the warm, dry sand,
Inhaling a deep lungful of the refreshing, salty air.
Gentle waves splash down where the water kisses land;
She holds a smooth black shell retrieved from there.
The summer wind converses with the trees all around,
