    It is my sheer pleasure to write on a woman who is a great play writer, critic, teacher, trainer and above all a poetess par excellence in both the languages, Urdu and English, She has very keen interest in poetry, her eyes are full with dreams and mind charged with stone hard determination, more ever she is a avid reader, she can quote the entire spectra of English literature but she is humble like a goat and prefer to claim herself a student which shows her depth of wisdom, she is very friendly with hill high integrity, a true human character with lot of kindness, honour and respect, a great personality and a solid character

    She has been teaching English Literature at Post-graduation level since 1999.After teaching 8 years in 2 colleges and The university of South-Asia, she quits the job, and now she is running her own institute by the name of The English Center. she teaches all genres of literature, linguistics, and language classes.
    Her qualifications:
    M.A-English literature(Punjab university) ,1996...
    PGD. Linguistics,2006...
    PGD-in Teaching Of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) 2012

    She has been working as an examiner in Punjab university;
    and as a curriculum-designer n a resource-person in the university of south-Asia..

    During teaching of literature she has been working as a director of English plays: the taming of the shrew, the winter's tale by Shakespeare and the last scene of Doctor Faustus by Marlowe which got the first position. She been working as an editor -in-chief of her Uni-Mags
    She has composed Hamlet by Shakespeare in couplet form. It t is on PH.
    she joined Poem Hunter in December 2011.
    She writes ‘ The Foreword’ for poetry books and she has written already for many.
    She has an uncanny talent to explore poems on the basis of examples set by the greats like T. S Eliot and others and more over she has her own yardstick and impulses to judge a poem..
    Her poems spread sweet fragrance for the poetry bees and butterflies with nice but unique style, the flow and energy of her poem is like a gust of wind, the words are like choosing flowers to stitch a lei to be adorned to the neck of hearts. She knows how to use figure of speech especially metaphor and allegory. Her poem’ Professor’ is a fit example to cite for the above said qualities..
    I wish her more success in life …

    Shahzia is a serious, and an interesting poet. And very thoughtful, she has the heart of a teacher, employing her skills to nurture fledgling poets. I’ve read numerous pieces of her work, and have found them to be profound, and yet within the reader’s grasp. With best wishes, I congratulate her upon the recent completion of her English studies. She’s an asset at the Poemhunter’s site.

    The ease, simplicity and beauty of Shahzia’s prose and poetry deeply touch the spirit of the reader.
    Shahzia is a gifted and articulate writer, mastering more than her native language, and able to converse freely and effectively in the medium of her choice. Her writings are inspirational but more important they provoke thought, and leave lasting impressions which the reader takes with them when they leave her page. I am very fortunate to have made the acquaintance of this most proficient writer and eagerly await her future contributions.

If God Sends My Maa For A While!

I shall lay my head on her knees
Believing that God must have cured her arthritic joints in heaven,
Then she will brush my hair with her fingers
And I shall tell her all my soul suffered from;

I shall complain of the bouquet of roses
That pricked my hands despite the silk-ribbon
And scotch-tape woven around it carefully;

I shall tell her the tricks of the winds
Blowing roughly on me leaving all others
And of clouds that shower benign rain
On all others leaving me,
Though I stand under them with a bowl
In my hands raised skywards
Which stays ...

Excuse me Sir!
excuse me please,
I've heard about your too much fame
you claim to make amazing keys
in perfect ease.
Now prove your worth
and pray tell me,
if there 's any master key
by which one can unlock the door-
of iron hearts...
