Darkness comes again
Light ceases to show us the world
I know I am here now

There are days now
Without much poetry
I do not read
I lose the need to write
...

Not always is the music heard inside-
Not always do the poems come-
Tiredness and emptiness are often silence,
And ‘wanting' a poem is not enough
...

It is too quiet
It is difficult not be lonely
The day has been long
There has been so much time
...

When there is nothing to look forward to
But problems and difficulties
Unhappy moments and unhappy days
Courage is required
...

I know one source of my sadness today
It is that everything will be gone
So much now I so loved
Is already gone
...

Up and down
Down and up
My moods play their game in me
As I from time to time
...

The poems have gone from me
I will try to bring them back
Without them
I wander meaningless and lost
...

There is a music somewhere
Which all of us hear
Telling us why
We live and enjoy
...

In my old age
I collect the dead
as if they were
Pins to pierce my soul with
