Poison. Noxious fumes spilling out with every exhalation. I can almost picture them with clawing fingers, spreading out and dissipating as the wind slams against it. Good and evil. Heaven and hell. Filth and Purity. mixing and swirling until one cannot be distinguished from the other, good begins where evil ends, like a tie dye shirt. The crackle of a clove brings my mind back into focus, squinting against the sun and feeling warm fingers tracing up and down soft skin pitted and marred by rows upon rows of parallel scars.
