Indian English poetry

Though some have called it

Sonnet: Modern Poetry

Is modern ultimate in any field?
There’s no music or Rhyme in ‘Vers Libre’,
What could poems without melody yield?
It is a drab, uninteresting tray!

How long could readers read on free verses?
Invariably, it makes not much of sense;
’Tis like Mother Nature, treeless/ bird less!
’Tis like a gardenless house with a fence.

Upon The Death Of Autumn [ Art Of Imagism ] -

Shadows of autumn, they haunt me
Life...sentenced to death by change
Only needles of green, n' pine-cone
Spare the forest-scape...of a barren
black winter...

Shadows stalk on th' whispery gales
Novembers fickle breeze, doth snap
Crisp images, ah, for th' poetic mind
And, reclusive me as I quill by night

Upon Th' Changing Shadows Of Autumn (Imagism)

Shadows of autumn, they haunt me
Life...sentenced to death by change
Only needles of green, n' pine-cone
Spares the forest-scape of a barren
black winter...

Shadows stalk on th' whispery gales
Novembers fickle breeze, doth snap
Crisp images, ah, for th' poetic mind
And, reclusive me as I quill by night

Another Winter (Imagism)

Biting coldness grabs me with rain on this winter night -
where I walk along the promenade
and the wind is alive
and grabs on to me and grabs me again
like a impudent child
and bleak-white a lightning bolt crashes down
and I smell the explosion of that intimacy
while the red face of the moon bursts out of the sea,
disappears and are again present,
like a swimming champion

Mister Ezra Pound I Read Your Words

Mister Ezra Pound I read your words
The shearing machine of Imagism
I
I too saw that sea
Entered the waters

But stopped in the low water
No further went
Retreated from the line that I had drawn
You shall see that too in my verse, Ezra.

T - P

When Imagism
threatened perpetuation
and was being shut down
in favour of drugs,
Imagists Against Drugs-Onset,
IADs or IADOs,
pushed 'Say No' and 'Just Don't',
and their science-Joes
came up with Tech-Perpet.

Grace To Women

Grace to women

Grace to women
To whom I owe
They taught me
But…

Did I learn enough?

Busy with Ezra Pound

Imagism: Nightmarish

At a salon of tall walls
Exhibiting fine works of art
Mysteriously an orange haired lady
Began to appear.

Modeling exquisite, fashionable, Victorian gowns
In paintings
Taking midday tea
Attending balls at eventide.
