The Breath Of A Stone
One time I saw something rare. It was a
I had found it in a field, alone, by itself.
I watched it for 10 years, until I was older.
I would put my head down next to it, eye
level, and watch it breathe.
I would put my hand upon it and feel it
expand and release.
I never picked it up.
After I had moved away, I visited it once
and kissed it.
That Is Enough
As for life..... I see it!
But I have yet learned
to read it.
I look for its gifts....
and that will do me.
