Sylvia Frances Chan born as Sylvia Frances Tjan also known as Sylvia Tjan is from Jakarta, Indonesia and now lives in Haarlem, Netherlands is world traveller cum internationally acclaimed world-class poetess. She has already travelled almost five continents. Travelling far across the globe she has gained many experiences about diversified languages and cultures of the world. She has taken steps for bringing awareness for wildlife conservation. She is very nice, co-operative and she is recognized as an evangelist. Not only Chan writes beautiful poems but also she writes essays and novels. She is multi talented. She has many skills of paintings and drawings. Her sketches and colours bring joy and fortune in viewer’s mind and carry deep social messages. She loves to play chess, tennis and goes in car racing. She is very fond of classic and pop music. Apart from poetic and writing skills she has skills of sports. I know her from many years through her poetry. I have read and reviewed many of her poems. I have found deep philosophical essence in each of her writing. She writes poems about nature, life, beauty, journey, wildlife and spirituality. Many of her poems carry message of God. Among her poems, ‘Silence is the entrance, ’ ‘For my sympathetic, ’ ‘An Essay on Mother, ’ ‘Honesty, ’ ‘The Lord, ’ ‘The quiet spirit, ’ ‘Silence is the Entrance, ’ ‘Under the Cherry tree, ’ ‘A frenzy of words, ’ ‘Disconnection Divulgation, ’ ‘Swirling rays, ’ ‘This night lasts too long, ’ ‘The impossible truth, ’ ‘The audacity of a poem, ’ ‘Simplicity is the beauty of life, ’ ‘My devotions for thee, ’ ‘The ultimate one, ’ ‘Message from my heart, ’ ‘A small token, ’ ‘Ode to the fascinating wildlife nature of Nepal, ’ ‘Ode to the Spiny babbler, ’ ‘There is beauty, ’ ‘Addictive alien alliteration, ’ ‘The biggest dot.’ etc. are very noteworthy and these express her excellence of poetic expression. Her published book titled, “Emeralds Green, ” is truly one of the worthy leading books of today’s poetic world. Her continuous efforts and perseverance have brought her ahead among many poets. Her many of the poems are also published in various webs. She not only writes but also reads many books and poems of other poets and writers and very well reviews them. She is a simple lady with very broad visions. She is also an affectionate mother of three sons. In spite of her busy schedule she finds time for writing and reading. Her endless effort has given her a new direction in poetic filed. Her poems ever attract attention of readers. Her every poem is a gem in this literary world. She is the dazzling star of the World Poetic Society. Her deep expression and nice words dazzle in her every poetic line giving pleasantness to readers. She has never left God, our heavenly father from memory. Sylvia Frances Chan ever loves God and dedicates her every work to God only. Her service to mankind through poetry is service to God directly basing on her learning and perceptions. She has keen interest to learn everything deep and she ever goes very deep of any new thing she observes. She keeps positive attitudes and perspectives of spiritual effectiveness. Her talent does not restrict to a particular field. She ever gives effort for successful vision and works accordingly to achieve her goal. She is very courageous and values she carries for humanity. I have very deeply observed her attitudes, mode of communication and mode of presentation of poems for long time. I have found very deep reflective and pleasing poetic behaviour as well as high frequency of philosophical perception within her. As a fellow poet I wish her success ever in her each step of journey of life. May fragrant flowers sprinkle joy in her way of walking! May her way be filled with beautiful petals of violet soft roses! May God bring fortune and happiness forever for her and also for her family and relatives! She is definitely a living legend and a poetic jewel in heaven of literary world. (Pintu Mahakul, Birthplace: Gandam, Deogarh, Odisha, INDIA)

Grow Old With You?

Grow old with you?
Come on, sit down on my knees
I'll tell you about the butterflies and the bees
Now I am still young forever
Grow old with you? That never!

Don't pick off my very youth
seek among the olds your truth
Come on old man, sit next to me, don't go to the south
sit next to me, not on my knees, I'll kiss you on the mouth

Don't tell that you're my lover
Don't tell that I am your friend
Don't tell that you're a glover
because what we are doing is a trend

Grow old with you? That never!
Don't pick off my very youth ever
love ...
