Biography of Tawona Mzila Ranganawa
Tawona Mzila Ranganawa was born in Mutare and he attended his High School at Pamushana and he later did his A-level at Dangamvura High School. Currently he is a law student at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. Tawona is a multi-talented individual he writes short stories and poems. His poems “Culture” and “if music be the culture” featured in the Nelson Mandela anthology called “Expression Within”. Also some of his work has featured in various poetry websites e.g. poetrysoup, writer’s relief, zimlink, poetryhunter. Besides writing he is a co-founder of two organisations. He helped to start a society for Zimbabwe Students and was its Secretary-General for two years. At present he is the co-founder with Owen Magocha of an organisation which supports youth development and employment of Zimbabweans studying abroad called Zimbabwe Council of Foreign Based Students. He runs a page on face book called Tawona’s Poem-tree and also a blog with the same name.
