The clock is set to yesterday
Spring forward…have more time

Sleepily I step outside to peek
Searching through the tall oak trees
Dew covered grass soaks my feet
A lunar eclipse is beyond the leaves.

Until they shimmer
Spend them wisely

When you watch your child grow
You may influence what they know
When asked by them serious questions...
when they bewilderedly seek direction

Thoughts are stir by the sight
of a familiar picture from the past
Layers of time saved in a drawing
by a young child… images that hold fast
...

If I dreamed a dream
To top all others
It would include
Peace among brothers
...

Your delicate wings rapidly beat the air
The sleekness of your weightless body hovers
Curiously observing as though you care
Steadily searching for lifelong endeavors

A flowing brook is consciously
punctuated by nature’s art
Lovely wild roses unpretentiously
take hold of a gentle heart
