A retired Chemist/Geologist

Thomas offers profound and moving perspectives on the natural world, with thoughtful, layered reflections on life, love and the fleeting experience of time. Sometimes pensive, sometimes provocative, often metaphysical, with a sense of the deep meaning we find in everyday moments.

An accomplished singer-songwriter dating back to the 70's
Tom has also has authored a geology book on Pleistocene and the Leelanau Peninsula.

They met in the wind,
together discreetly lifting
off the ground, taking flight,
blowing in circles, together they rise,
as if pulling each other higher,
twisting upward, body and soul
by the tall limbs of the birch,
slowly dancing round and around
in midair, before cautiously floating down,
