Biography of Torsa Ghosal
Currently a postgraduate student of English Literature at Jadavpur University, Kolkata and a free lancer. Winner of the National Balshree Award for Excellence in Creative Writing (organised by the Human Resource Ministry of India and National Bal Bhawan, New Delhi) from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in April 2005. Attended Creative Writing Workshop organised by British Council and IIT-Kgp in 2009.
Torsa’s literary criticism was included in the book Romanticism and its Legacies (2009) , edited by Ralla Guha Niyogi. She has published articles in The Statesman Voices, The Telegraph Metro, The Times of India Education Times, Ex Nihilo, Break the Silence Project. She is also interested in photography and dramatics.
