Upendra Nath Brahma
(popularly known as the 'Father of the Bodos') was the most powerful tribal leader of the twentieth century of who belonged to Bodo tribe.
Bodofa was born on 31 march 1956 at Boragari village near Dotma, at small township at Kokrajhar district of Assam, India.
Upen was the son of Hindu (Brahma) bodo couple Monglaram Brahma and Lefsri Brahma.
He was the 5th, and youngest son.
Upen was called 'Thopen' during his childhood. He grew up in proverty.
