Biography of Victoria Stamps
Relatively late to poetry with most of my work being published to fit inside a single 'tweet' (140 characters) and hence very compact.
All my poems were originally posted on my own site (poetry.sparkyland.net) as well as Twitter when possible!
I've written several hundred short pieces, it may take a while to bring them over to this site. So far nearly all of September 2011 has been brought here, a few were excluded as they were really personal messages in poem form.
Maybe one day I'll finish moving the rest...
Victoria Stamps Poems
Twist and turn Through the night Dreams that burn With torment bright
Green and gold From the sun they glow Sign of the seasons Pass so slow
Atop the hill Conkers abound Smooth, sharp, prickly Nature, profound
A Friend In Thought
Elegiac thoughts A photo found A soul long lost Crushed to the ground
Cozenage words Belief intent Taking sweet trust Asunder rent
Low sun so bright The chill of dawn Rust leaves abound This autumnal morn.
Silence pervades The depth of a lie Hope curls in pain Only to die
The journey alone Heaven sent A chance to linger With no repent
The beating wings Of solitude An introspection The soul extrudes.
Twisted dreams Tinged with lament Is a moment of peace Worth a soul so spent
Irrefragable proof Is that what was said Refuted by many Hope is dead
A couple stand silent As if by vows She held his paper He simply scowls
A swish of skirt A hint of smile Their coffee took A delicious while
Tiny perfection Scampering around Searching for food Thrown to the ground
Swarm in the night
Their sweet delight
With silent noise
