On Memorial Day
ON MEMORIAL DAY
Will we live worthy of the white stones standing on the hills of American lands,
where the red river of a nations strength once flowed?
Will we remember the names of common men,
who died uncommon deaths in a foreign land?
Will the stories of their sacrifice pale in the passing of days,
or will we keep faith in the memory of their ways?
May those of us who live in the blessings of freedoms blood,
