Biography of William Richard Torvaney

Canon William Richard Torvaney is my Grandfather..... he won the Military Cross and Bar for bravery during World War I. He travelled to Poona, India, where his first son, my uncle was born, and lived and worked there teaching English. On his return to Scotland, he was ordained as a Minister of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, and served in France during World War II. His ministry continued, in Ayr, Montrose and finally Aberdeen, where he became a Canon of the Church. He published many articles, reviews and poetry all during his lifetime.
