I Can Poem by Dr Harish Yadav

I Can

I burn the lamp of fire
In the old skull of time
With the light of new civilization
I write the chapters divine.

Again and again I write my name
On the forehead of time
And sing new songs
In the laps of flame and shine.

I broke the rocks of traditions
With the hammer of new thoughts
I change the way of storm
With the words i brought.

And i can change the era of world
Not only the human on earth
I can change the universe
I can replace the mountains
I can pull the earth
I can change the history
I can make the heaven.

The poet's use of hyperbole ascribes divine ability to him as a god who can do anything, even make the heaven on a whim. What a unique poem larded with metaphorical imageries.
