Poem Can Bloom Poem by Sreekala Sivasankaran

Poem Can Bloom

Poem can bloom

Madness of society
Tore into pieces
One of them

Her name was poet
Chased, hunted
Raped, blackmailed
For her desire

Desire to live
Desire to write
Desire to wake up in the morning
With a smile in full bloom

I do not want to be anybody's desire
The little girl laughed and passed away
Painters drew her swing
Writers wrote her an elegy

She was sick
She was quick
They still try to ponder

From the stone grave
She sprouts like life
Smelling of death
White like the patches on the sky
Light like feather

Who can bear all these?
A small life disturbs
The big heads of fattened lust
