That Day You Went Away

I remember the day
When you went away
Those 3 hurtful words
Even now it hurts
'your dad died' they told us
We just cried and put on musk
The musk was to hide the pain
It felt like us getting hit by a Cain
Mum wasn’t her anymore
Hurting us to the centre of our core
We were lost in darkness
For a long time
Now I'm fighting my Depression
Sometimes I wonder what if
What if dad didn't get cancer
Then I would of got my answer
But there is nothing left
No happiness only mess
But the good times comes and go
But in those bad times I scream oh
Then I cry like he went away in sleep
I just weep
Like yesterday he died but it was 10 year
Since he was able to change gears
I had not dealt with my pain
I keep pushing it down
But now it can only get better
Even though your death was hard
And it drove all of us mad
I will see you again one day
But only when you awake
