Idle Folly

Idle Folly

Down at the corner barroom
The fellows gibe and jest
For their homelife is too common,
Too vulgar for their taste.
So, when between their teeth
A tussle comes in view,
Each little snip of gossip
Is worth a month of chew.

Back For A Visit

I'm here to make confession
at your imposing grave.
You taught me that discretion
was never for the brave.

You taught me so much else,
most was by innuendo,
at times I heard faint bells
and, sometimes, true crescendo.

Pity The Beautiful

PITY THE BEAUTIFUL

Pity the beautiful, said Dana Gioia,
beauty is truth, but it cannot survive
any more than the truth, because age, its destroyer,
abuses it while it attempts to stay live,
for it can't survive any more than what's isn't
as lovely, and what isn't fair won't engender
the envy of those who by it aren't imprisoned,

Beautiful Surroundings

God loves the beautiful.
He has clothed the earth
And the heavens with beauty,
And with a father's joy
He watches the delight of his children
In the things that he has made.
He desires us to surround our homes.

You Left

And when you left it was just utter smithereens,
adorning all those places we had made it once,
or twice or more and often, with abject abandon
I do remember cruddy details but will you?
So does it matter then who left the bliss we had
or what the reasons were that drowned our sacred spirits
just ask yourself, I think not is the answer,
who gives a flying, as they say in lazy circles.
Yes, you were skinny, to the point of anorexia,
yet left a whole inside the carpet so gigantic

Home-Life

Have I ever known that you love me
Have I ever known you've no one but me.
You think my heart full of fears
My silent cry full of tears
But you are wrong, I am as you see.
Love at first sight and all you know it
Wait for the next with hope and limelight.

You fill my life with chuckle
And soothe my painful trouble

Jeopardy Game

Jeopardy a wasteful game
a homelife you can not attain
If in fact you show yourslf worthy
Do not make your inner cloak dirty
For in this demise
I hopefully emphasize the facts are
unusual

So take the case for if its a waste...
Jeopardy a fool's game

I'm Tired Of Earthquakes

I will go to a place today
And I went to the same place yesterday
And I don't mind this

I ate dinner today
And I ate a similar dinner yesterday
And I do not protest this

Routine and I now look at each other in a completely different way
Where we once declared war on one another

My Notebooks

if my notebooks could speak
theyd tell a thousand of painful stories
some would tell of my homelife
some would tell of my pain
some would tell of my knife
some would tell that im insane
theyd speak of things that youd never dream of
my 'wonderful' childhood
my 'sweet' reality of
cuts and blood not quite understood
