Some friends just want to plead and shout
When they need you to help them out,
But, if you happened to throw out that, "Help" word
Only crickets are heard.
They soon forget what you have done, or who you are
But, of course to them that's just par,
They believe that it's your duty to always help them
(Listen closely, they'll praise you in a hymn) .
Some friends you help and they just quickly forget it
They throw your advice and help away in a pit,
But, when they lose and lose and cannot find a win
Those so called friends will seek your help out once again.
If I were given a nickel for the thanks I was given over time
In my pocket I might now have a dime,
Truthfully when some people are troubled bound
That's the only time you see or hear them make a sound.

Truthfully when some people are troubled bound That's the only time you see or hear them make a sound. An amazing and thought provoking poem you have brilliantly penned...10
Good rhyming, Randy. Unfortunately, sometimes there is a kernel of truth to what you wrote. Some people get 'Love people, and use things' backwards! : -)

I would like to translate this poem
Well said, good write, dear poet, there are all sorts of people. It is thanks to them we like good friends.
