I am not yours, not lost in you,
Not lost, although I long to be
Lost as a candle lit at noon,
Lost as a snowflake in the sea.
You love me, and I find you still
A spirit beautiful and bright,
Yet I am I, who long to be
Lost as a light is lost in light.
Oh plunge me deep in love- put out
My senses, leave me deaf and blind,
Swept by the tempest of your love,
A taper in a rushing wind.
Piece of great elegance, subtly penned in romantic diction to capture it's deep of insight and essence of the poem. A beautiful romantic and love poem indeed. Superb! Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.10/10
Has such a nice rhythm and rhyme...and then you hit that final word. Haha. I hate when poets use similarly spelled words and think it's a substitute for similar-sounding words.
Full of emotions and beautiful in every stanzas. Superb write
C) Most deserving as The Classic Poem Of The Day! Congratulations! 5 Stars full
B) The poem beautifully expresses the longing to lose oneself in love, much like a candle's flame merging with the daylight or a snowflake dissolving in the vastness of the sea
A) the poetess's quest for a more passionate and sublime love—one that transcends the boundaries of self and identity. Unlike possessive or restrictive love, the poetess desires a love that is based on fusion and dissolution.
