Between Your Ribs (Sonnet #81) Poem by Tina Rizk

Between Your Ribs (Sonnet #81)

In your arms hold me tight all through the night,
I only find comfort between your ribs.
A sense of safety, warmth of morning light,
Where I hear tender tunes, your heart emits.

Keep me close to your heart, for there I dwell.
It's my tender home full of love and grace.
My paradise, with a shrine, a chapel,
Nestled in the woods, the quiet, sacred place.

It's only with you that I long to stay,
Be it in your thoughts, feelings, or pure soul.
It's only to you that lead all my ways.
We're meant to merge, heart and soul, as before.

But till then, about you will write my pen,
As you write in my soul, divine poems.
