Fair copy drawing Poem by Marcel Beyer

Fair copy drawing

Rating: 3.5

I see you draw soot, water, pores in the
plastic curtain, daylight, it smells of
quilt, of ancient green checks. I'm hanging
on chestnut branches, on my forearm

flies. End of August. An urge for mini golf.
Second drawing, at the plastic curtain the images
separate, I see your shadow against the

sky. In the leaves a sneaker, fur, from the
photo on the chest of drawers gazes a stranger. In
one place the fern is stirred, I see
you, the sky moves into the hair behind the ears.

Translation: Hans-Christian Oeser and Gabriel Rosenstock, 2004
