A Lone Tree Poem by DASHARATH NAIK

A Lone Tree

My cataract affected eyes
May not watch you with your spell
My arthritic legs may not chase your burning heart
My lips trembling to reciprocate your warm kisses
May lose mirth....

Where am I heading to?
Is it the goal of my life?
Is it the meaning of my blessed life?

The questions stay unanswered
And I fall a victim to the incessant
Shower of your tears,
Cascading for nothing
And me with my world of void
Feel victorious like a king
With my treasure of profound love
For life lived till date
Amidst my shattered dreams
And hopeless hopes
Sans your company.

Is it my aimless aim to achieve....
Is it the ocean my river wants to mingle with...
Is it the gust of my wind of life
Is it the shower of rain to drench me Unusually in your passions
Ever burning and never ceasing? ? ?
