The Lady In Red potentilla Emilie Poem by john (called jack) wren

The Lady In Red potentilla Emilie

I'm here, I'm here, was her bold cry
to me and all those passing by
come, come further down the aisle
I'm sure it will be worth your while.

Come a bit further for your surprise
come, look upon my crimson guise
I'm beautifully adorned as you'll see
and live up to my name Fair Emilie.

I stand with honour and humble pride
I'm utterly sincere and most dignified
as cool as a cucumber some would say
on this hot and barmy summer's day.

I am the best, the creme de la creme
unique, unrivalled, the rarest of gem.
