Earth Debt
The day does not belong to us,
it belongs to the people we serve,
the communities we represent.
The folks we feed with knowledge
and resurrect with love
The Night does not belong to us either,
Our rest gives us peace and renews our strength
We owe nothing to the universe,
who watches in awe
as we selfishly bend, break and toil ourselves.
In the name of our fellow man.
Our tears the only release we have,
they bear witness to the depths of our soul.
