I have the strength to rise from the ashes.
The phoenix within me is starving for rebirth,
But my feathers are few and far between.
Lend me a hand.

Eyes

Gazing upward,
Toward her lips, forever sealed,
A woman made of marble,
Finds a place within my heart.

Upon a pedestal,
She is bound forever.
A motionless life,
Emotionless face.

Yet, beauty and grace,
Have been carved, chip-by-chip,
Into her flawless physique,
For all to admire.

Cold and solid,
Intimidatingly smooth,
She is looked upon with awe,
And will never know her worth.

Eyes, upon eyes, upon eyes,
Skim her curvaceous silhouette.
Not one pair of lips inquire,
About what is hidden inside.

Her skin is of pearl-like stone,
And her elegance, imprinted for eternity.
Those who pass by,
Believe her core to be barren.

Far too valuable to touch,
Stoically positioned forever,
Not a single man attempts,
To search for unseen treasures.

I close my eyes,
And lay my hand upon her heart
Until her cold, swirly gray skin,
Feels as warm as my own.

Within her lie a million secrets,
Waiting to be uncovered.
I feel a heart that so yearns,
To love, and be loved in return.

Stationary forever,
Stiff with frustration,
Desiring to understand,
Why only eyes can recognize her beauty.
